My Story

I am an Early Childhood Education Leader and Preschool Director at My Kinderhouse Westland in Calgary, dedicated to building a strong academic foundation for young learners through purposeful, play-based education. With over a decade of experience guiding children ages 2–5, I design and lead programs inspired by Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies—where curiosity drives exploration, hands-on experiences spark big ideas, and learning unfolds in meaningful, joyful ways. My educational approach emphasizes the development of essential early skills—language and literacy, foundational mathematics, social-emotional growth, and executive functioning—within structured routines that feel safe, engaging, and creative. I place particular importance on fine and gross motor development, recognizing that confident movement forms the groundwork for confident thinking and lifelong learning. I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Alberta, complemented by Alberta Early Childhood Educator certification. Building strong partnerships with families is central to my leadership philosophy: I maintain open, ongoing communication through regular updates, parent meetings, and shared learning documentation, ensuring families are active participants in their child’s educational journey. In addition to my work with children, I bring a strategic human resources perspective to our center—streamlining recruitment and onboarding processes, supporting professional development, and establishing clear, compassionate systems that enable educators to thrive. I believe every child and educator carries a unique story, and my mission is to nurture those stories, inspire growth, and lead a learning community where every day is an opportunity to learn, explore, and succeed.
